Disturbing Doctors Appt
I had called yesterday morning to get into see a doc for my pain meds, They only give me one month at a time. They always last longer than a month for me. Well I seen a new doctor, He gave me some very disturbing news. Right now I don't want to go into to much. Basically if things don't change I will have to have my toe amputated. He was very through. Lab work and also xrays of hip and right had they are looking for damage from RA.
I need to talk to my daughter but she is in Russia and I can't get a hold of her. I just want to hear her voice.
I told Jeff yesterday I want him to get sgli on me, They offer life insurance through the military. I told him to get the max. It's 400,000 if something happens to me he can pay off the house and explorer and give some money to the girls. I don't want to wait until I have something that we can't get life insurance to cover me. The army has good life insurance that we can still continue after he retires in 7 years.
I am sorta depressed today. I have a box of peaches that need to be made into jam. I need to my fat quarter swap that needs to sent to my partner. I need to this and that but I am hurting bad today and with yesterday news and half day at the darn hospital just left me drained.

South Ossettia
http://www.russiatoday.com/news/news/28912/video
I have been watching closely of what has happened there. First and foremost I do believe that The President in Georgia over estimated the response he thought he would receive from the west. He attack South Ossettia first and then Russia responded. Most of the South Ossettians hold Russian passports. They have fought for Independence from Georgia in the 90's. Georgia over stepped them selves and killed South Ossettians first and now are shocked of the response from Russia. The President of Georgia waited until the Olympics to attack South Ossetia while everyone is focused on the Olympics.

August 3rd
Yesterday I spent a good part of the day out shopping. I went to the garden store to pick up some poles to tie up the green beans and tomatoes. I also need to find some organic bug killer. They only had two of them and one would kill bees so I didn't get that one why would I want to kill such a wonderful little creature that is vital for your flowers and garden.
I also went to the quilt shop. I love that store such beautiful fabric. They have a nice line of reproduction fabric. I very into the 30's reproductions and feedsack reproductions. So I picked up some fabric, also bought mama some 30's reproduction fat quarters.
I have new sewing machine its an early birthday present from my husband. My birthday isn't till the 10th.
Last week mama and Harvey had a close call. Mama was napping on the sofa when she was woken by a loud noise, Lighten had hit the utility pole at the back of their property and started a fire. So Mama and Harvey called fire dept then went outside to fight the fire. It came close to the house, They lost a picnic table, a roter tiller, and one of their trees were burnt a wee bit. Here is a link of the fire video on the local news station. http://www.kktv.com/home/headlines/26005259.html#
Mama is 68 and Harvey is 71 and those two didn't go to a safe place, they were outside watering everything trying fight it from taking their house.
I have to put out a couple fires in my life. One was started by my little brother. He had made a camp fire in a field next to where we lived. It grew so quickly. I was trying to get it out before anyone found out so Luke wouldn't get his ass in trouble. Thank goodness some older teenagers came and helped get it out.
The other fire was on the ranch. We had loaded up the hay on the truck to go feed the cows, The ranch was thousands of acres. we always went straight to the fields after loading the hay to feed, but Cody wanted something to drink so we drove back up to the house. We seen the fire it had started in the travel trailer the hired man live in. On the ranch if you had a fire you are on your own. we had no fire department to call. We fought it but it was next burning right next to the propane tank, the hay that lined the outside of the bottom of the trailer was burning. It was very scary. We had 3 other houses close that if we didn't get it out would of burned them all. I was surprised how hardy the propane tank are they don't catch fire easy the flames were next to it. I kept thinking it's going to blow up but never did. It was started from the electric heater cord Bill had plugged in. If we would of went straight out to feed the cows we would of been across the river when we would of seen the flames and by then it would of taken all or houses. Thank goodness Cody had to have something to drink. I can't believe we out.
I have lots of things to do so I had better get my ass in gear.
